Home of the Day: Midcentury classic in Pasadena

In 1956, the song “Heartbreak Hotel” was on the radio, gas was 22 cents a gallon, television was quickly casting its spell and this Midcentury Modern-style home in Pasadena made its debut.

Although the views of the nearby San Garbriel and the architect’s original modernist footprint haven’t changed, the house has seen some changes over the years. Among features of note are an updated kitchen, bamboo floors and recessed lighting.
