George Penner is the President and a co-managing director of deasy/penner—responsible for the marketing and the day-to-day operations of the firm.

This includes the support and training of 100+ sales agents, the marketing of all deasy/penner single-family listings, financial administration, human resources, public relations and long-term strategic growth of the firm. Almost immediately after founding deasy/penner in 2006, George, Mike and the rest of the team recognized the necessity for a formal New Development division – dedicated to the representation of design-centric condominium projects in Los Angeles.  Since its inception, deasy/penner New Development has become the definitive resource for developers—successfully representing over 40 projects.

Prior to DPP, Penner was the Chief Operating Officer of real estate brokerage firm, Mossler Deasy & Doe.  Additional responsibilities included overseeing two separate affiliated business practices: Ranch Marketing Associates—a recreational and ranch brokerage firm headquartered in Colorado; and the online content site, ArchitectureForSale.com—a global resource for architectural listings for sale.

George is also the founder of Penner Design Group, LLC. (“PDG”) a Pasadena, California-based real estate development and restoration practice focusing on architecturally notable properties.  To date, he has developed over 130,000 square feet residential real estate for resale.

Prior to real estate, George spent ten years+ working at numerous advertising agencies, crafting the blue-chip brands of Chevrolet, Honda and DIRECTV, to name a few.  His most recent post was as Senior Vice President of Deutsch Inc.—a marketing communications agency that garnered significant attention and growth during his tenure—winning Adweek’s “Agency of the Year” consecutively for three years.

He has a BA in History from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.  He was also a commissioned officer in the United States Naval Reserve.
