Over 25 years of sales and marketing experience makes all the difference when Mark Jerusalem represents home buyers and sellers and negotiates on their behalf. After graduating from the University of Florida, Mark’s experience in sales began at the iconic airline renowned for its slogan “You Can’t Beat the Experience” – Pan Am. He then went on to develop his expertise in sales management at various international airlines. With a proven background in sales, Mark transitioned his career to selling homes and for nearly 14 years has represented buyers and sellers throughout Los Angeles. Mark began his real estate career at Coldwell Banker in Beverly Hills, Sotheby’s International Realty, and is now based at deasy/penner&partners in Pasadena.

Mark’s international background has influenced him both professionally and personally. Mark’s first language was German and he holds dual American and German citizenship as his parents moved to the United States a few years before he was born. As a teenager, he lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and attended a boarding school in Salzburg, Austria. During college Mark received a scholarship to study in Mannheim, Germany. Having earned a Master in International Business, Mark brings a professional understanding to the business of real estate, including expertise in marketing, finance and economics. Mark is passionate about home design and restoration as well as architecture and travel.

Having worked with an international clientele throughout his career, Mark particularly enjoys connecting with people from many backgrounds and cultures. Strategic thinking, patience and perseverance, coupled with a focus on understanding clients’ particular needs, has helped ensure that the Sellers he represents maximize their return on investment while his Buyers can secure the home of their dreams. Mark’s proven abilities to negotiate the sale terms and price on the purchase of a home benefits all of his Buyers. Helping his Sellers reach their desired terms on even the thoughest points of negotiation, while staying positive, is his approach in maintaining a “win-win” mind-set.

Mark recognizes that achieving client satisfaction goes beyond the pure financial aspect of the sale, so he takes the time to understand his clients’ overall needs and long term goals related to the lifestyle they seek and the real estate they want.

As a home owner in South Pasadena Mark is active in the community and has served on various prominent local boards. Since Mark is avid about the preservation of historic and significant architecture, he is proud to be serving on the board of the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation.
