About Andrea Beal

Though she is now dubbed the “Queen of Orange Grove,” Andrea’s career didn’t start in real estate. She began working for the Service Club Branch of the US Department of Defense’s Special Services Division in the early 60’s where she was stationed in Korea, Berlin and Vietnam – from the Mekong Delta to the highlands.

 

Following that stint of civil service, Andrea moved into the non-profit field, where she was the Program Director for the Recreation Center for the Handicapped in San Francisco; Special Assistant to the Executive Director of United Way (where she was eventually promoted to Campaign Associate) and the First Executive Director of Hospice of Pasadena.

 

Then, in the late-80s, Andrea stepped into the world of real estate. After 26 years of specializing in the sale of condominiums and townhouses along South Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena, she has been awarded a variety of top real estate honors and been dubbed the “Queen of Orange Grove” as the go-to agent for sales in that area.

 

She has also been an Orange Grove resident during that time and President of her HOA off and on for approximately fifteen years. This has given her a unique perspective on condominium living and operation. She was selected as a member of the steering committee of the South Orange Grove Neighborhood Community Council which helps her stay abreast of the latest in condominium living.

 

In 2012, after 14 years with Coldwell Banker and 8 years with Podley, Caughey & Doan, Andrea joined deasy penner podley. As a member of the DPP team, Andrea has been utilizing the firms unique branding to create a more innovative marketing approach as well as developing stronger technological skills to connect buyers and sellers more rapidly.

 

Meanwhile, her dedication to volunteering remains strong as she expands into interests related to Asian art and issues of aging and hospice care.
