Deasypennerpodley is excited to announce Charlie Taschen as a new agent to our Hancock Park family.
Drawing on her lifelong appreciation for design and architecture, Charlie fundamentally believes in Deasy Penner Podley’s principle that every home is art. She brings to the firm a professional background in art, architecture and global high-profile client sales. Prior to joining the firm, Charlie expanded the brand and footprint of the internationally renowned publishing house TASCHEN by opening its first ever Gallery space on Beverly Blvd., where she served as lead curator and oversaw all events and exhibition sales. After acquiring her first home, a distinctive mid-century in Los Angeles, by Chinese-American architect Miller Fong, Charlie worked directly with Fong through the sometimes stressful but exhilarating process of restoring the home to its original luster. The experience broadened Charlie’s understanding and passion for architectural homes, which would ultimately propel her into this work professionally. Charlie will be working directly with George Penner to immediately provide her clients with the greatest level of real estate transactional experience.
Born in Cologne, Germany, Charlie earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish with some Dutch and Mandarin.
