This 1959 house in the Hollywood Hills was designed by noted midcentury architect Ed Fickett, but it also has a celebrity connection. The house was the LA home of actress Ava Gardner beginning in the 1960s. Listing agent Kate Blackwood tells Curbed that Gardner’s ownership of the house was confirmed by the Ava Gardner Museum.
The house measures approximately 2,660 square feet and opens onto a living room with walls of glass, exposed beam ceilings, and a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace.
The master bedroom features a cool blue-tiled bathroom with a unique concrete tub and sleek wooden shelving. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms in all.
The double lot property is over 10,000 square feet. The yard behind the house has a sturdy if simple tree house and steps down to a grassy area with a shaded deck. The list price is $1.995 million.
