Pasadena’s Siodmak House by architect James Allen Walter is fresh from a top-to-toe restoration and is seeking a new owner for $2.25m.

The four-bedroom Los Angeles property was first built in 1967 and is one of only 32 homes in California by the architect. Walter’s designs are coveted real estate thanks to their fluid layouts, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and clever use of light.

The Siodmak House sits on a cul-de-sac and has views across greater Los Angeles to the mountains. Shared spaces fill one wing of the house – complete with a brick fireplace, Japanese tiles, skylit, vaulted ceilings and a reimagined kitchen – while bedrooms are in the other.

Large glass doors and windows peek onto the landscaped gardens and a large deck for outdoor entertaining.
